After taking some time to reflect on the future of Labella Equestrian, I have made the decision that our riding school will remain closed for the remainder of 2026.
When I initially paused the program, I genuinely didn’t know what the next few weeks would bring. I wanted to give our horses the opportunity to rest and recover, while also giving myself the space to really consider what I wanted the future of Labella to look like.
Closing the riding school was never something I imagined I would choose to do. For so many years, it has been such a huge part of my life, and I am incredibly proud of what we created — the riders we taught, the confidence we watched grow, the friendships made and the countless memories created with some very special horses.
But sometimes loving something also means recognising when it is time for change.
Our horses have given so much to this business and to our riders over the years, and I no longer want their wellbeing to come second to the demands of running a riding school. At the same time, my own passions and goals within the equine industry have changed, and I feel ready to give myself the opportunity to learn, grow and pursue a new direction.
This is not the end of Labella Equestrian. 🤍
I will continue offering BYO coaching from our Gympie property, travel coaching and equine bodywork services, while continuing to develop my knowledge and skills within the bodywork and rehabilitation space.
As for the riding school, I don’t know what the future holds. It may be something I choose to revisit one day, but I don’t want to make promises or set a timeline when I simply don’t know. For now, our lesson horses get to enjoy being horses, and I’m excited to see what this next chapter of Labella becomes.
To every rider and family who has been part of our riding school over the years — thank you. Thank you for trusting us, supporting our little business and sharing so many milestones with us. I will always be incredibly grateful for what this chapter gave me.
This isn’t goodbye to Labella. It’s simply a change in direction.
