Honeybee Creative Project based mentorship for neuro/physically diverse Music & Arts Lovers. Honeybee Creative is a Not For Profit Organisation based in Gympie QLD.

In 2020 we commenced online through zoom conferencing and created, workshopped, and recorded a CD of unique and diverse songs, with a performance that was livestreamed December 6th. We’ve had some sad news. Honeybee Creative music programme alumni Carolyn Mort has passed on. Our sympathies are with her family. She was a true heart with deep sense of justice, caring for others needs often ahead of her own.

Carolyn came to us wanting to develop her skills as a lyricist because she had become aware of the benefits of self-expression for mental health. She also had a desire to turn her lyrics into songs in order to be able to share them more widely.

So, Carolyn arrives with one song “I hope they’ve got VB in heaven” – a piece she’d previously written with a friend – and a fist full of lyric sheets. She left us 3 full albums later knowing she’d accomplished something larger than herself and contributed something to the world.

She will be remembered fondly and much missed by all of us who knew her.

With music made in April in Honeybee Creative’s Wednesday Music Creation Group Sessions, then worked on collaboratively with HBC’s All Abilities Theatre and Visual Arts groups to craft the production.

Here it is friends...Ducks Driving Trucks is Honeybee Creative's 2nd video project for 2026. With music made in March in Honeybee Creative's Wednesday Music Creation Group Sessions, Ducks was then worked on collaboratively with HBC's All Abilities Theatre and Visual Arts groups to craft the production.

Hi Friends, We are taking a one week break this year from Friday 26 June to Sunday 5 July because it turns out that structure is good. We’ll be coming back refreshed as all of our normal programming recommences on Monday 6 July to put the finishing touches on existing works; and brgin new projects for the second half of 2026.

Here it is folks...Daisy The Chicken tells the story of the cleverest chicken in the pen and her amazing adventures.

It's our 1st video for 2026, originally written and recorded in August 2025 but not released, Daisy was dusted off and finished in HBC's Wednesday music creation group and and then given the HBC treatment by our All Abilities Theatre group. We are proud to present Daisy The Chicken.

We've been to see Catbird Theatre's epic and hilarious interactive show "Stark Raven Mad". Here's Ryan chopping Mary's arm off (sorry bout your scissors guys) and Glenn as Edgar Allen Poe's Raven. We absolutely Loved It!!! and highly recommend you go see it 🐝🐦‍⬛🐝

Filming began today for “Daisy The Chicken”. This scene is for the backing vocals in the refrain. We started working on this song in August 2025 and we’ve finally finished it! Daisy’s gonna be our first full video project for 2026.
