Rainy day magic 🌦

While we had lots of rain happen yesterday and overnight, we were still able to enjoy the small time of sunshine as we explored all of the wonderful puddles the rain left us, this led to many questions of what will sink and float and even if there were any fish in these puddles.

As we explored our area more, we could see some of the damage the storm had left, we discussed how we could help and went looking for any further signs of the storm.
While we were prepared for the rain to come again, we had the sun shine on us the entire time.

As a beautiful invitation to play that was set up within our outdoor environment, this interest was carried through to our indoor environment. We adapted this to continue with the discussions that were shared between Children and Educator and this was just one of the fabulous pieces of creative artworks that was made through our printing process.

Today we enjoyed a visit from NSW Water Police.
They showed us some of their equipment for example life jackets ,hats ,helmets and their tactical vest. We also enjoyed a video of the Water Police do.

Today, the Echidna Room had a visit from Veterinary Nurse Rochelle, and her dog, Tilly, from Doyalson Animal Hospital!

Rochelle came to talk to us about what she does as a Vet Nurse, and how they help all kinds of animals while working alongside the Vets at their clinic.
Rochelle also touched on animal safety and how to show kindness to our pets. We even got to have a little pat of the very kind and calm, Tilly!

We are very thankful and appreciative that Rochelle and Tilly took time out of their busy day to come and visit us! 🐾
