Next Tuesday and Thursday we have STEPS visiting. STEPS is a Statewide Eyesight Preschooler Screening Program. Please be sure to fill out the form and return it, for a free eye exam. This is a really important to have done before your child starts formal schooling.

📢 **Important Notice to Our Families: Health & Wellbeing Reminder** 📢

With school holidays just around the corner, we need your help to ensure all of our children, families, and hard-working educators stay happy, healthy, and ready to enjoy the break!

We have recently had a few cases of cold/flu symptoms as well as gastrointestinal illness within our service. To help us break the circuit and stop the spread, we strictly ask that you keep your children home if they show any signs or symptoms of being unwell.

🛑 What to Look Out For:

Cold & Flu signs: Runny nose, cough, fever, sore throat, or general lethargy.

Gastro symptoms: Vomiting, loose bowel movements, stomach cramps, or nausea.

🏠 Exclusion Periods & Staying Home:

Gastro: Children must be kept home and be completely symptom-free for at least 48 hours from their last episode of vomiting or diarrhea before returning.

Cold & Flu: Children should remain home until their symptoms have fully resolved and they are well enough to comfortably participate in a normal day.

We know keeping children home can be a juggle, but our priority is protecting our entire community. An outbreak right now means both children and staff risk missing out on their well-deserved holiday plans.

This week, the Dhinawan children have been reading the story ‘The Rainbow Fish’ by Marcus Pfister 🌈🐠

Inspired by the book, the children participated in a craft experience where they made their very own rainbow fish using a variety of craft materials. This activity encouraged creativity, fine motor development, and self-expression while exploring the themes of the story.

Learning Outcomes: 3.2, 4.1, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3
