Introduction to Small Engines foundation Skills training.

CCNI Gunnedah Campus, in conjunction with Gunnedah High School, presented this learning opportunity for 15 Gunnedah High School students, who attended the four-day Introduction to Small Engines foundation skills training held at Gunnedah High School's Metal Facility.

Students received hands-on training in basic small-engine care, including identifying parts, understanding operation, and performing simple maintenance to keep equipment running properly.

CCNI would like to thank all those involved for assisting us with this program, including students and their parents/guardians, who helped out by bringing along a variety of small engines to work on: lawn mowers, generators, and even a small motorbike.

Also, a huge thank you to our CCNI trainer, Chris Wilson, who facilitated the course for the Gunnedah High School students

Students received certificates of attendance last week from Gunnedah Campus Coordinator Cassandra Dunstan.

Well done, everyone!

Aprons on! 🔥 Café Kick Start is coming to CCNI’s Inverell campus.

There’s only so much you can learn sitting in a classroom. But with our new hands-on Foundation Skills program, you’ll start by creating simple dishes, build skills for work as the menu grows, then bring it all together in a final food service!

And according to CCNI hospitality trainer Brodie Smith, you don’t need to arrive knowing your way around a kitchen. “Just do it! It can all be taught.”

From first dish to final service, click below to see what’s cooking at CCNI.

The course is fully funded for eligible students under the Ensuring Access to Foundation Skills Training program.

Ensuring Access to Foundation Skills Training is a joint initiative between the Australian and New South Wales governments.
