How can I help you buy a farm and build your dream life on the land ? ✨🌱💰 (more below)

1. Money: make you more of it, help you put it to work in investments ,make managing it easier, help you understand it and hold you accountable to building good habits.

2. Clarity: get clear on your goals and options to achieve them, work with you to put together a plan, act as a point of contact to answer your questions as they come up and explain things in a way you can understand.

3. Saving you time: I do the research and summarise the key points for you, get you on track faster, supply you with tools to make decisions easy and get you better results so you can reach you goals sooner.

4. Financial confidence: I teach key financial literacy concepts and work with you one on one to help you understand them, implement them and use them confidently.

5. Support: I give you tools, training, a community and support to help you navigate challenges all the way along your journey to land ownership and financial freedom. I am a person in your corner to give you whatever you need to succeed.

WHO is Farm Life Plan? Let me introduce myself 👋🏼

Hi, I'm Claudia Bryant, the face behind Farm Life Plan.

Here are some things to know about me:

🟢I grew up on a mixed farm near Gunnedah NSW, where you will periodically find me living in a horse truck next to my parents house.

(yes that is a pet water buffalo haha )

🟢I keep active and healthy, but my Achilles heel is fried chicken and crumbed cutlets with diane sauce.

🟢 It’s my dream to be able to work remotely or take months of at a time to travel. I am currently doing this hence why the horse truck isnt always home.

🟢 I have a curious mind, love to learn and I am ALWAYS looking at the ground at the grass, rocks and at what's happening in the landscape.

🟢 I love a yarn and working with people.

That is my favourite part of my job now and the 3 years I spent working with farmers in Western NSW.

🟢 I got hooked on ag and business from trading cattle in high school and selling fish-shaped slides at Uni. This showed me you can make money doing anything and set me on the path I am today.

Finishing 2023 In Kenya - a dream come true 🐘✨

New years day marks 6 months since I launched The Farm Life Launchpad. ✅An online coaching program for people in agriculture to build financial literacy skills and a plan for how they can achieve their goal of buying a farm.

(I love talking about this so if you are interested to chat or know more feel free to message me).🤝

It has been a crazy 6 months in business and I would like to take this moment to thank everyone for the support, advice and opportunities this year!

Here are some of the Highlights:

🌱 I Learnt ALOT of skills and improved every day.
🌱I completed 2 cohorts of the Farm Life Launchpad
🌱 I gained over 5,000 Instagram followers since June.
🌱 I Convinced my Dad to plant a permanent pasture ( a bigger achievement than it sounds😆)
🌱 I Quit my job and achieved my dream of being able to work remotely and travel.

I have some very exciting things planned for 2024- so stay tuned and have a very happy new year.🎉

Did you know you can get started in Agriculture without owning your own land ? 🐮💡

It is possible to lease land and run a farm business on it. That’s how a lot of people are getting their start, getting hands on experience, learning about business/ farming and building their resources to scale up 💪🌱

The Pros & Cons of investing in Livestock. 🐮🐑
(*not financial advice)
Things to learn about:

✅The pros are:

-You can start small with limited resources
-They increase naturally
- they are a tangible assets
- can turn grass into money
- They are fun and interesting to work with
- Cashflow
- Potential for growth
- Can be a business started as a side hustle or scaled up.

🚫The cons are:

-It can be risky business if you dont know what your doing!

- influenced by alot of factors

- Losses are common especially if you dont know alot about business.

- It isnt as simple as buy for $500 sell for $1000 and BAM Profit.

- It is a cash hungry business especially if you are leasing and financing stock

-Can be a long time between pay cheques.

- Livestock are not as highly valued by the bank as other assets.

- A loss in livestock can put you a long way back in your progress to buying a farm Eg. Spend years saving and growing and then a drought wipes a lot of that progress and puts you behind all those years.

🤔SO IS IT A GOOD INVESTMENT?

It’s a great opportunity to build experience and cash starting with smaller amounts of money.

But if it’s successful depends on your ex*****on and ability to manage the risk posed by weather ect.

If you learn to manage the risk and have a strategy I think it can be a great stepping stone.

🌱WHATS MY APPROACH?

I personally love the idea of it and plan to use it, but with the intention of it building cash for me to put into more stable and passively growing investments like realestate- That will pay off better in the long run and when I want to buy land.

⭐️MY NUMBER ONE TIP is don’t put your life savings into it - try and find a balance between scratching the farming itch, learning and seizing the opportunity BUT having your money growing elsewhere (investing in other assetts).

That way the impact of a short term loss in livestock on your long term goals are minimised 😄

My first day as a digital nomad🌍
For those that don’t know, a digital nomad is someone who works online from anywhere.

If we haven’t been introduced already, my name is Claudia Bryant and I am the creator of Farm Life Plan.

I have created a financial literacy coaching program that helps young people in agriculture work towards buying a farm by learning about investing, managing money and business. ✨🌱

This doesn’t pay the bills for me right now, but I will be working on it full time remotely from Africa for the next 4 months.

And, the plan is by the time I return for it to be able to provide me a liveable income. ✅

I have a lot of exciting things planned for the next few months.
