The 2027 Gundagai Show may still be many months away, but now is the perfect time to start preparing your entries.

As your children bring home their wonderful artwork from school this term, don't forget to set aside their favourite masterpieces to enter in the Gundagai Show Pavilion.

Every entry helps showcase the incredible creativity and talent of our local young people, and we'd love to see the Pavilion filled with colourful artwork from across our region.

🧙‍♀️ Room on the Broom at the Wagga Civic Theatre! 🧹

A reminder to our Monday/Wednesday group families that on Monday, 31 August, we will be travelling to the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre to enjoy the live performance of Room on the Broom.

🎭 Important reminders:
🚌 We will not return to preschool until approximately 3:10 pm - 3:30 pm
🚫 As we will not be back in time, school bus transport will not be available that afternoon. Please ensure you have arranged to collect your child from preschool at 3:15pm - 3:30 pm.
📄 Permission notes must be signed and returned by Monday, 17 August.

📚 Book Week is Coming! 📚

A little heads-up for our preschool families! 🌟

We'll be celebrating Book Week during Week 6 of Term 3, from Monday 24 August to Friday 28 August. (Dress up on Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th and Friday 28th)

Now is a great time to start thinking about this year's Book Week theme and any costume ideas your child might like. Don't worry—we'll share all the exciting details, including our planned activities, a little closer to the event.

This year, Ms. Samara is championing our Book Week celebrations and is busy planning a fun-filled week of literacy experiences for the children. If you have any questions before the event, please feel free to speak with Ms. Samara—she'll be more than happy to help.

These mobile screening services are incredibly important for rural communities like ours. They make it possible for women to access potentially life-saving screening close to home, without the need to travel. The more we use these services, the stronger the case for them to keep returning to communities like Gundagai.

If you're due for a breast screen, please consider booking today. It only takes a short time, but it could make a lifetime of difference.

📚 TRANSITION TO SCHOOL EXCURSION – PERMISSION NOTES 🚌

A reminder to all families of children participating in our 2026 Transition to School program that permission notes for our upcoming Transition to School excursion will be sent home via Storypark and as a hard copy.

📱 Storypark: Permission notes will be shared with families today and tomorrow.
📄 Hard copies: These will also be sent home with children today and tomorrow.

Please keep an eye out for your child's permission note and return the completed form to Gundagai Preschool as soon as possible.

🦎 Reptiles on the Go is Coming to Preschool! 🐍

We're excited to welcome Reptiles on the Go to Gundagai Preschool on:

📅 Monday, 27 July 1:30pm
📅 Tuesday, 28 July 9:30am (please ensure your child is at Preschool by 9am to unpack and be organised for the show)

Children will enjoy an engaging, hands-on educational experience where they'll learn about a variety of Australian reptiles, their habitats, and the important role they play in our environment. This is always a fun and memorable incursion that encourages curiosity, respect for wildlife, and learning through real-life experiences.
