What a beautiful space our Kindy community have created!

This garden space has been created from children’s ideas in consideration of the UN Conventions of the Rights of the Child.
Children’s Right 12: Respect for children’s views
Children’s Right 13: Sharing thoughts freely
Children’s ideas for the space included ‘a walking path’, ‘flowers’, ‘statues’, ‘black’, ‘pretty stuff hanging’ and ‘glittery rocks’.

We wish to thank the following people who helped bring the children’s ideas to life:
• The many Kindy families that donated supplies, time and expertise
• Gunalda State School for helping to create the stepping stones and garden decorations with the children
• Miss Cathy, Jason, Nick, Lauren and Jake for their weekend work to prepare the garden space
• Miss Melissa and her family who spent many hours behind the scenes to organise this project
• Children's Rights Queensland for their grant supporting this project

Pre-prep transition visits are starting this term! If your child is due to start prep in 2027, we invite you to join us for our Prep Transition Sessions.

These sessions are set up and run with our Prep/1 Teacher and Teacher Aide to help create a seamless, stress-free and exciting start to prep and school!

Our local Gunalda State School is starting their playgroup/prep transition again from next week!

Starting Next Week 29th July- Gunalda Little Joeys Playgroup returns. All welcome - Ages 0-5. 8:30 - 9:30 at the Gunalda SS Library. FREE Morning Tea Provided and Tea and Coffee for parents and caregivers. Gunalda District Kindergarten
