NAIDOC WEEK // NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
This week Gumdale celebrated the 2026 theme - 50 Years of Deadly - Celebrating five decades of strength, culture and community strength. Students gathered at lunch time to create a '50' with hands or coloured squares to recognise the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC celebrations. In addition our entire school was turned into a walking art gallery with the many wonderful door displays created by teachers and students.

GROW WELL //Culminating Activity
This term, we have explored a range of Character Strengths and GROW Values. Each class chose one and created their own hero to add to our whole school display. Each class also wrote their names on the underside of each cape and we now have an inspiring display for students to see each morning in the hall.
What's your super strength?
