Dento Ryu Karate Do is a traditional style of karate club mixing both Shotokan and Goju Ryu Karate.
This style of karate originated from Japan in the mid 19th century and like all martial art styles has developed into a form of martial arts that is widely respected and practiced throughout the world. The name of the club literally translates to mean "Traditional School" and with this in mind, it is important to know that this club has a strong emphasis on the more formal aspects of karate. Here

It’s been a long wait but WE ARE BACK.
We are still waiting on word from the schools as to when they will allow us back into the halls. Also from the government regarding our legal roles and responsibilities. We hope to be back soon, but the health and safety of all our students and teachers must come first.
Keep following the page and we will update as soon as we know more.

Just an Update
We are still unsure of our reopening at this stage, there is a lot of confusion around what is and what is not allowed. It has been suggested that we may be able to reopen when Gyms get the go ahead but thats not set in concrete. We have stayed in contact with ISKA and the World Martial Arts Alliance and even they are waiting for clarification.
For now heres a flashback from 2015, one of our dedicated students Catherine Head taking first place at the world cup.
