"O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere and fillest all things; Treasury of Blessings, and Giver of Life - come and abide in us, and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One."

As we celebrate Mother's Day, we acknowledge with gratitude the selfless love of mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, and mother figures, near and far, living and those who have gone before us to the Blessed Union. Julian of Norwich, a renowned medieval mystic, astutely observed that a mother's love is a profound analogy for Christ's boundless and unconditional love for us. Her writings in early Middle English beautifully convey this truth: "Crist, oure sauiour is oure trewe moder, in whome we be endlessly born." We invoke the intercession of Holy Mary, our Blessed Mother for all mothers. Today, we were warmly received by Fr Chris Alambe and the parish community at Sacred Heart, Highgate.

Today's 'the Seminary Open Day' was a resounding success with 45 young men attending from across the Archdiocese. We hope that they were spiritually and physically nourished by the Word, the Eucharist, and the warm hospitality extended by the Vocations Office (Jet and Petra) with our community. We kindly request your continued prayers for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and for these discerning young men to respond courageously and generously to the call of the Good Shepherd, who is our Way, our Truth, and our Life, across all four dioceses of Western Australia.
