St Charles Seminary

St Charles Seminary A Roman Catholic Seminary preparing men for the Diocesan Priesthood in Western Australia.

St Charles’ Seminary is a place of formation for Catholic priests in Western Australia. Located east of the city in Guildford, the seminary is part of the Archdiocese of Perth and is presently under the jurisdiction of Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB. Once a seminarian has completed his formation and has been ordained to the priesthood, he will then serve in his own diocese. Seminarians from the

Provincial Dioceses of Broome, Geraldton and Bunbury also receive their formation at St Charles Seminary, as well as religious congregations when requested.

Today our seminary community was warmly welcomed by St Mary Mackillop Parish, Ballajura Catholic Community and Fr Vinh D**g P.P. This weekend, their parish community celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation for children during the Eucharists. Please kindly keep the newly confirmed children in your prayers. Also, the seminarians sang joyfully with the Dominican sisters during their fund raising charity lunch. Wishing you all a blessed week ahead.

Today is the last day of Vocations Awareness Week and St Charles' seminarians joined the clergy of the Archdiocese and youth from Catholic Youth Ministry Perth for Sports Day playing futsal, volleyball and pickleball. And of the two teams, red and green representing our community, our green team won the first place beating the last year's champions, the clergy team 🥲.

CONGRATULATIONS to our green team members who returned victorious ( Tuan, Paul, Tho, Phong, James and Lam) and our red team members who fought the valiant fight (Matthew, Rhys, Vivek, Innocent, Joachim and Dominic).
