An introduction to basic drawing and watercolour techniques from observing botanic subjects from nature.
We will begin with practising a series of drawing exercises with the use of graphite pencils and later introduce the use of watercolour exploring tone, form and light.

Beneath lies buried a tragedy: a massive contribution from a crystallographer and molecular biologist who died and therefore could not, and was not recognised for the prize.

Ron Hedgcock is an experienced lecturer with a solid background knowledge of Christianity and Art.
This course is in the form of a series of sessions each devoted to a major theme in Christian doctrine or tradition.
Hundreds of art works digitally projected are shown in the series with explanatory hand out papers.
The material is by turns academic, entertaining and enlightening; and no religious motivation lies behind the discussions.
