On this 18th August, we commemorate Vietnam Veterans' Day on the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in 1966. We remember the sacrifices of those who died and say thank you to almost 60,000 Australians who served during the 10 years of our involvement in the Vietnam War.

Griffith RSL Sub Branch and Griffith War Memorial Museum would like to advise of the
Passing of our member and friend Renzo Rovere.

Our thoughts go out to his beloved wife Rosetta, their family and friends

The funeral will be held on Thursday 20 August 2026 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Griffith commencing at 10am followed by an interment in the lawn section at the Griffith Cemetery.

A RSL service will take place and ask that all veterans attending wear their medals.

The Australian Army Band - Kapooka is coming to Griffith on Saturday 22nd August 2026 at the Griffith High School Hall commencing at 2.30pm.

Entry is free. Donations are greatly appreciated.

The performance is featuring the Griffith Town Concert Band and the Griffith Combined School Band.

Please support these bands to make this an annual performance

These cards are routinely re-issued every six years. As plastic cards can deteriorate over time, replacing them ensures veterans continue to have access to a reliable card and helps minimise potential difficulties when accessing services and support.
