The Pyjama Foundation exists to break the cycle of disadvantage for children in foster care (and out-of-home care), who face significantly poorer educational outcomes than their peers.
Without early intervention, many struggle with literacy and numeracy, leading to lifelong barriers in education,employment, and wellbeing.

**BIKE DAY** It's back!!!

It never fails to disappoint. The slew of vehicles that were lined up ready to rumble this morning was nothing short of spectacular.

Before they got their engines started, a much anticipated safety briefing was a must. "What do we need before heading out?" "Who else will be there?" "What do we do if we crash?" "Do we all drive different ways?" "What are the dangers?". The amazing Dot Waide brains trust was quick to put their safety knowledge to work in developing the expectations for the day and their ability to meet them was nothing short of inspiring.

With decoration stations and a constant need for refuelling from the looseparts "petrol pumps" we rode until we could no more. Our older Kookaburra children guided and set the example for their you've but just as eager peers, who proved to be hoons at heart, putting their balance bike and scooter skills on display.

Risk management, critical and higher order thinking, Mathematics, spatial awareness, core strength, fine and gross motor, pre-writing, social inclusion and awareness along with emotional regulation are among some of the many domains that are developed through days like today.

Oh and let's not forget the all important music that ties it all together.

A sausage sizzle together to bring the morning to a close and for some a much needed rest after a hard morning's work... for the children that is.

I'm not sure who enjoys bike day more 😉

Kinder Afternoon Tea Cancelled 🌧️

Unfortunately, due to the weather and with our deck currently under restoration, we don’t have an alternative space available to safely host the event.

As a result, we have made the decision to cancel today’s Kindergarten Afternoon Tea.

We’re so disappointed, as we were really looking forward to welcoming our 2025 kindergarten children back and hearing all about their school adventures 💛

Children are invited to wear something green to help us celebrate — it could be a shirt, socks, ribbon or anything green! 💚
