Friday, 31 July 2026, Garbutt State School.
Despite the many students were away sick (poor kids🥲) Two Taiko Workshops sounded great.
One boy struggled to follow instructions at the beginning couldn’t stop moving with my Taiko sounds. After the session, he ran towards me and grabbed my arm and put a sticker on me with a big infectious smile.
Older kids with serious faces achieved much harder sequences than younger kids. They looked proud and tired, but happily said thank you as they left.

Monday 3 August 2026, Rockhampton State High School. (I forgot a photo again…)
I have been visiting RSHS for years. They book me every year for year 7, but this was first time we used the gym for Taiko Workshop. Their new principal came, drummed and stayed with the students for the entire session.
Everyone seemed to be happy with their results after hard work.
Arigatou for having me again this year.
