What incredible learning in 3J!
In English, we’ve been diving into the beautiful text Piano Fingers by Caroline Magerl, exploring how authors use figurative language to paint vivid pictures in our minds. Taking inspiration from the text, our talented students crafted self-portraits using powerful metaphors and descriptive adjectives to capture who they are.
Our mathematicians have also been hard at work! We’ve been tackling place value of 3-digit to 6-digit numbers and sharpening our mental computation tools. From bridging to the decade and partitioning subtrahends to navigating number lines and hundreds charts, 3J scholars are building strong, flexible problem-solving strategies every single day.
Miss Johnstone is so proud of the curiosity, creativity, and mathematical thinking brewing in 3J!
