Last Friday, sixteen of our Year 9 students attended YLead's Altitude Day, where they had the opportunity to hear from inspiring speakers, connect with students from other schools and develop their leadership skills. One highlight of the day was hearing from Sydney Swans AFL player Barnaby Howarth, who shared powerful insights on greatness, resilience and making a positive impact on others.

Throughout the day, students collaborated and networked with fellow Year 9 students from across Sydney, exchanging ideas, building new connections and learning from a range of perspectives.

Our students represented the school with pride and returned with valuable lessons about leadership, courage and the importance of striving to be the best version of themselves.

We look forward to seeing these lessons come to life in our school community as our students continue to grow as leaders and positive role models!

Last week, we were excited to welcome Josh and Jess from Sydney Zoo, who delivered two engaging workshops for our students: Traditional Technologies and the Bungarribee Wildlife Workshop.

During the Traditional Technologies workshop, students learnt about Aboriginal cultural practices and had the opportunity to try throwing a boomerang.

The Wildlife Workshop was a highlight, with Josh introducing students to a snake, turtle and blue-tongue lizard, giving them the chance to get up close and learn about these amazing native animals.

Students also enjoyed learning a traditional dance with Josh and were painted with ochre providing a meaningful and interactive cultural experience.

A big thank you to Josh and Jess for sharing their knowledge, culture and passion with our students. It was a memorable day of learning, connection and discovery!
