What a lovely way to start the day. Today we welcomed our dads and father figures to school for our Donuts with Dad morning, sharing a sweet treat and some special time together.

We are excited to share that Gregory Hills Public School is participating in Inuka Community’s School-to-School Program, connecting Australian classrooms with CHETI Schools in Tanzania.

Following Miss Thompson’s recent three-week visit to Tanzania, our students now have a wonderful opportunity to build on these connections and learn more about school, life and community in Tanzania.

Today, we were delighted to welcome CHETI teachers and students from Tanzania, to Gregory Hills Public School.

Some of our students had the special opportunity to meet our visitors, hear firsthand about their experiences, ask questions and begin learning with and from another school community.

Through this partnership, we hope to deepen our students’ understanding of global citizenship, empathy, gratitude and the power of community connection.

We look forward to continuing this special connection between our schools.

Thinking of Our Nepalese Community 💙💚

Our thoughts are with our Nepalese families and the wider Nepalese community following the devastating floods in Nepal.

We know that many members of our school community have family, friends and loved ones in Nepal, and we can only imagine the worry and concern you may be feeling at this time.

We sincerely hope that your loved ones are safe and that those communities affected are surrounded by support, strength and care in the days ahead.

To our Nepalese families at Gregory Hills Public School, please know that we are thinking of you and standing alongside you during this difficult time.

This week, we celebrate the incredible School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS) who help keep Gregory Hills Public School running each and every day.

From supporting our students and families, keeping our office running, building connections with our community, organising events, fixing what needs fixing and helping our students learn, grow and thrive, our SASS team really does do it all!

For the big things, the small things and all the things in between, we want you to know just how much everything you do is noticed and appreciated.

🌟 SOUTHERN STARS - The Arena Spectacular 🌟

Our incredible Southern Stars performers hit the stage today for their full dress rehearsal, and they absolutely shone. After so much hard work, dedication and rehearsing, it was so exciting to see everything come together on the big stage. We are incredibly proud of all our students and the energy, enthusiasm and commitment they have shown throughout this amazing experience.

Now it’s time for the real thing. With two huge show days ahead, we wish all of our Southern Stars performers the very best of luck, soak up every moment, enjoy the experience and SHINE.

The stage is yours, superstars! 🎭✨👏

📚✨ **BOOK WEEK COSTUME PARADE 2026** ✨📚

What a fantastic morning we had today for our Book Week Costume Parade.

The rain certainly didn’t dampen our spirits. With a quick change to our backup plan, we were still able to enjoy a wonderful parade filled with incredible costumes, lots of smiles and plenty of Book Week fun.

A huge thank you to our parents and families for your patience, flexibility and cooperation while we quickly changed our plans. We were blown away by the amazing turnout and loved having so many of you join us to celebrate.

And of course, a massive congratulations to our students (and families!) for the effort and creativity that went into the costumes, you all looked AMAZING.

What a great parade and such a fun morning for our GrHPS community! 💚📖✨
