βοΈπ§ Year 2 Antarctica Immersion Day π§βοΈ
Today, our Year 2 students embarked on an exciting journey to Antarctica as part of their learning linked to Sophie Scott Goes South.
Dressed in their winter woollies and shades of red inspired by the Aurora Australis, students immersed themselves in a range of hands-on learning experiences. They were privileged to hear from a special guest speaker who shared her real-life experiences of visiting Antarctica, created stunning iceberg-inspired artworks, investigated the effects of climate change on melting icebergs, and researched Antarctic animals and the challenges they face in our changing world.
It was a fantastic day of curiosity, creativity and discovery that brought classroom learning to life while deepening students' understanding of environmental sustainability and the unique Antarctic environment.

π« Attendance Update - Week 7 π«
This week, we didn't quite reach our school attendance target of 94%; however, we have seen a fantastic improvement compared to recent weeks.
As we move into the cooler months, let's continue working together to support strong attendance across our school community. Every day at school is an opportunity to learn, connect, collaborate and grow.
Thank you to our families for your ongoing support in helping our students learn, thrive and achieve their best. ππ
