Greenwood College is fortunate to be a pilot school in the Purposeful Leaders Program. Eleven students have been sponsored by the City of Joondalup - Government to participate in the program. Sessions began after school during term 1.
βI encourage students to step out of their comfort zones and embrace new opportunities. The creators of this new program, Female Future Leaders, have compiled an inspiring program to take the participants through their high schooling and beyond,β said Career Practitioner, Karen Kerlin.
Along with HASS teachers Jess Murphy and Kate Rowe, Ms Kerlin runs the session as an βafter schoolβ leaders club. The Purposeful Leaders Program is a program which directly supports young women to find their place in the world, discovering the type of leader they want to be in their family, school, community, and workplace.

The C.A.R.E. Bear has been on tour, visiting local primary schools and spreading Greenwood College's C.A.R.E. values wherever he goes!
Along the way, he met lots of students, made new friends with Halidon Primary School mascot, Hootley the Owl. He showed off his best dance moves and even treated audiences to a performance on his famous 'Bear guitar'. To share a little extra care, each school received a mini C.A.R.E. Bear, colouring sheets and stickers.
From high-fives to dancing, the C.A.R.E. Bear loved every minute of his adventure and can't wait for the next stop on his tour!
