🐥🌱 Our Chicken Hatching Program has started at Happy Sprouts Greenvale! 🌱🐥

Our children across all age groups are excited to be part of this special learning experience as they watch the eggs in the incubator and discover the amazing lifecycle of a chicken.

This week, our focus is on watching the chicks hatch, observing their development, and learning about how they grow. The children are building their understanding of counting, caring, growth, responsibility, and nurturing through this hands-on experience.

Each day, the children will visit the chicks with their rooms to check on their progress, share their observations, and learn how to respectfully care for our little arrivals. 🐣

Next week, once the chicks are ready, our children will have the opportunity to safely give the chicks a gentle pat while learning about kindness, care, and respect for animals. 💛

We are loving seeing the curiosity and excitement this experience has created across our Happy Sprouts community! 🌿✨

🐝🌼 Happy World Bee Day from Happy Sprouts 🌼🐝

Today we celebrate the tiny pollinators that make such a big difference to our world. World Bee Day raises awareness of the essential role bees and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy. 💛

Our little learners have been busy bees themselves, exploring sensory trays, creating beautiful bee-inspired art, and engaging in lots of hands-on activities throughout the day. 🐝🎨🌿

Let’s continue to teach our children the importance of caring for nature and protecting our precious pollinators.

Our Kelly Sports program with the amazing Coach Sam has been a huge hit! The children are building hand-eye coordination, teamwork skills, confidence, and a love for staying active — all while having so much fun with their friends 😊

Programs like this are just one of the many ways we support children’s growth, wellbeing, and development every day at our centre.

Happy Mother's day 💖

Thank you to all the Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, and Aunties who joined us for our special Mother’s Day Morning Tea celebration. It was wonderful to share such a lovely morning together.

We enjoyed a delicious buffet prepared by Sachi and a beautiful cake made by Suzan. The event was truly a joint effort from our whole team, and we are so happy it was such a successful and memorable celebration.

Families also enjoyed nail painting and arts and crafts set up in our STEM room, while each classroom hosted its own special activities for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make the morning so special.

Disappointing news today.

Last night, our elephant was damaged at 3:33am, and later at 5:12am two males returned and took our giraffe. We do have CCTV footage, and it’s sad that things like this happen in our community.

This has been upsetting for our children, who have been asking about the missing animals today.

At Happy Sprouts Child Care, our Bottlebrushes room enjoyed a lovely lunch today in the Garden to Plate studio 🌿

The children helped pick fresh vegetables straight from the garden, which were then added to our delicious homemade lasagna. From garden to plate, it’s such a special experience watching the children take part in preparing and enjoying their meal together.

A beautiful way to learn, connect, and enjoy healthy food 🍅🥕

📚✨ The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge has begun at Happy Sprouts Greenvale!

Starting Monday, our little learners have been busy diving into books and exploring new stories. It’s been wonderful to see their excitement and curiosity grow with every page they turn.

Encouraging a love of reading from a young age helps build imagination, language skills, and confidence that lasts a lifetime. 💛

We’re also proud to support our community with our Street Library—feel free to take a book, share a book, and join in the joy of reading together!
