🦷🪥My Smile Heroes 🪥🦷
Today we had a visit from the school dentist from My Smile Heroes. The children had the opportunity to have their teeth checked and learn about the importance of dental health. They watched an educational video on the interactive whiteboard about visiting the dentist and what a dentist does.
Following the video, the children participated in a hands on activity where they used toothbrushes to practise brushing teeth. This experience helped to develop their understanding of good oral hygiene while also supporting their fine motor skills and self-help abilities.
The children were engaged and enthusiastic throughout the experience, showing interest in caring for their teeth and learning healthy habits.

🌟 Number Fun in Kinder! 🔢✨
Our 4 year-old kindergarten children had a wonderful time exploring numeracy as they practised writing numbers and counting in their books. With lots of enthusiasm and concentration the children proudly recognised numbers, counted objects, and recorded their learning.
This engaging experience supported their growing confidence and helped make mathematics fun and meaningful through hands-on learning.

• Strengthening number recognition and number formation skills.
• Developing one to one counting and early mathematical thinking.
• Building fine motor skills, concentration, and confidence when recording ideas.

National Sorry Day – Learning with Respect 🖤💛❤️
Today our early childhood learning space was thoughtfully transformed to acknowledge National Sorry Day, a time to reflect, listen, and learn together. Through storytelling, symbolic art, and hands on experiences.
The children were gently introduced to the importance of respect, healing, connection, and understanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures.
✨ Key learning experiences included:
• Developing empathy and understanding through conversations about kindness, respect, and saying sorry
• Exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander symbols, colours, stories, and cultural connections
• Encouraging a sense of belonging, inclusion, and caring for one another within our community
