As part of the STEAM ambassadors programme, our students have been meeting with STEAM professionals.
Each month, one of our STEAM ambassadors interviews a professional who has dedicated their career to science, technology, engineering, arts or mathematics.
In our first episode, Sibella C is in conversation with our Workshop Technician and Freelance Designer, Maryam Moghadam.
Maryam's latest commission is currently part of an exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.

Aitken Collegeโs very own Ms Annamaria Meszaros has been sharing her wealth of knowledge and real-world experience with our Year 11 students through Financial Literacy.
Over the past few weeks in their Life Skills classes, students have explored essential topics including Tax File Numbers and their importance, how superannuation works, credit cards and Afterpay, the hidden costs of โeasy money,โ car depreciation, loans, interest and comparison rates, and more.
These valuable lessons are giving our students a meaningful insight into life beyond school, building their confidence, independence, and understanding of the financial decisions that shape everyday life.
We are incredibly proud to provide opportunities like this, equipping our students with the skills they need to be truly future focused.

The 27th of May is a significant day in Australia's history as it marks the anniversary of the 1967 referendum which overwhelmingly voted to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the Australian population.
To mark the occasion, students at the College were invited to show their support for Reconciliation by going โAll In.โ They could do this by adding their name to our poster or writing a personal message about how they will continue to learn more about Reconciliation in Australia.
Students and staff also had the opportunity to watch archival footage from the National Film and Sound Archive, which was projected in the CPA space, helping bring this important moment in history to life.
