Hello Green Team, we have left an unofficial rubbish bin for any potential micro plastics that have floated downstream…. And if you are confident I would encourage you to begin intermittent weeding because there’s gonna be a lot to catch up on if we don’t start chipping away now.

This plant dodged a bullet.
With all the heavy logs floating downstream, this little plant was very lucky….it somehow survived this log invading it’s space downstream from the protective upstream post. We lose some, we win some.

Lucky we escaped in time this morning…. I forgot to throw the snorkels in my wheelbarrow when I was assembling the gear today😆😜!! Lots of cars went under unfortunately.

Thank you to our Green Team who bravely woke early to attack the insidious vines and Guinea grass. Definitely”a stitch in time saves nine” methodology with our efforts today.
We even saw our spirit animal / farce-book mascot ( see link)

The Buff-banded Rail is secretive but not shy and may be seen in places like the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney. It darts into cover when disturbed and the young will scurry into cover when adults give an alarm call.

Tomorrow 7-10am! Well….very few of the chalk street advertising remains, but it is great weather for weeding and planting!
