πŸŽ“πŸ’‘ Future Teachers in Action at BNTS! πŸ’‘πŸŽ“

Recently, we were excited to welcome 90 RMIT pre-service teachers to BNTS for an immersive three-day Design Sprint, centred around a real-world problem of teaching practice. πŸš€

Working in teams, participants experienced our Tech School model firsthand as they rotated through five of our Tech Taster programs, including:
✨ 3D Design (Tinkercad)
🎨 2D Design
πŸ€– Microcontrollers
🧡 TechStyles & Fabrication
πŸŽ™οΈ Podcasting

Using the Design Thinking process, each team identified a challenge, developed a prototype, and presented their innovative solution to a panel of judges for feedback. The creativity on display was outstanding, with projects including:
🧠 Brain Break Bag – a classroom resource to support student wellbeing and focus.
πŸ€– RoBuddy – a classroom noise monitor designed to encourage appropriate noise levels.
πŸ”” Silent Signal – a visual announcement and student alert system that keeps classrooms informed without disrupting learning.
✨ Hologram Mascot – an interactive mascot that glows brighter as student engagement increases, providing positive, real-time feedback.

A huge thank you to RMIT, our judges, and everyone involved in making the three days such a success. We loved seeing the collaboration, innovation, and creative thinking from the next generation of educators and can't wait to welcome them back to BNTS in the future! πŸ‘
