CLOSING MY DOORS......
I love doing family day care. Helping an inquisitive mind grow has been such a joy and has given me so many wonderful memories. Right now my life is changing and my own family needs my attention and focus, so I have made the decision to stop providing care for now. I have left the page active as past families still enjoy scrolling through the memories and there are lots of ideas that others could find useful.
To those who have been part of my family, I just want to say, thank you so much for the wonderful memories. Take care and stay safe. Love Cheryl

😍A sweet discovery during our outside playtime. The underside needs a little more ripening, so here's hoping that our possum doesn't find it first.

🐝🐝We have been busy buzzing around like bees doing a nectar relay. Using their fine motor muscles to squeeze the dropper to collect the yellow nectar, they then flew over to drop it into our recycled yoghurt container. It may not look allot, but I can vouch that they worked very hard at collecting their nectar.

The little people in my care love drawing, love cooking and love their families! So to celebrate a day that is all about sharing the love, they've spent the last week making special drawings and chef approved 'cookies' to show their families how much they love them.

Extending my little people's interest in animals, we did some animal sorting. Sorting activities are a wonderful opportunity for little people to develop maths skills.

To some it may seem like it's a complex topic, but I say never underestimate the knowledge that your little people have. This activity was completed by little people in the 2-3yo age range. They had prior learning about some of the animals and what they could do, the others we worked on together naming them and discussing what the animal could do, so that their knowledge can grow.

2021 has been a rollercoaster of a year so as it draws to an end I must say thank you for the unconditional support I've received through the year💜
