🌟 Lions Club Leadership Competition 🌟

Congratulations to Year 11 student Zahra N, who made us proud on Sunday by representing the College at the Lions Club Leadership Competition held at Werrington County.

This prestigious and highly competitive event involved a rigorous application process, with only eight students selected from a wide range of schools to take part.

Participants faced a series of challenges, including an interview panel, two impromptu speeches and one prepared speech.

Zahra impressed both peers and judges with her insightful prepared speech titled “Friend or Foe”, which explored the important theme of sectarian discrimination.

Well done, Zahra, for your courage, passion, and leadership, you truly embodied our College values and inspired us all! 🌟👏

FRIDAY PRAYER

On Friday, Prayer Sheikh Ahmed Jundi conducted prayer and we welcomed special guest, Mr Ali Mustafa.

Mr Mustafa is a 2015 alumni of our College and is a physiotherapist. He gave a wonderful and engaging address on the importance of being a Muslim Alawite. He outlined how we should live our lives with a warm heart, humility, love for our brothers and sisters and to model ourselves upon Imam Ja'far Al Saldiq the sixth Imam, and our College’s patron Imam.

We express our overwhelming gratitude to Sheikh Jundi and Mr Mustafa for giving their time so generously during Ramadan to join us in prayer and in conveying their words of wisdom.

Lion and Rose House, Ramadan Iftar

The Lion and Rose Houses at Al Sadiq College recently hosted a special Ramadan Iftar, bringing together students and staff for a meaningful evening of faith, reflection, and community. As the fast was broken, the gathering reflected the Alawite virtues of generosity, humility, loyalty, and service to others. Inspired by the noble characters of the Ahlul Bayt, particularly Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) and Fatimah al-Zahra (as), the evening emphasised compassion, unity, and good character.

The event was a wonderful opportunity for the Lion and Rose Houses to strengthen their bonds and embody the values that Ramadan encourages. 🌙

The assembly was followed by a special morning tea alongside their families.

We were thrilled to reunite after the long break, celebrating our new Kindergarten students as they begin their journey at 'big school', welcoming Year 7 into Senior School and also Year 4, as they commence their new chapter at Greenacre Campus. .
