🎉 Celebrating Excellence in Education at GCC 👏

We are thrilled to celebrate Miss Christina Mavris, who has been recognised as an Outstanding AI Educator 2026 by Toddle AI Tutor—a remarkable achievement on the global stage.

This worldwide recognition included thousands of entries across 65 countries, with Miss Mavris named as one of only three Australian recipients. Toddle will also be showcasing her work as part of this recognition.

This achievement reflects Miss Mavris's dedication to innovative teaching and her commitment to meaningful student learning. At GCC, we value “Lifelong Learning”—encouraging curiosity, growth, and excellence—and we are incredibly proud to see this commitment recognised internationally.

đź“– Growing in Wisdom and Hope

Paul prays in Ephesians 1 that believers would grow in wisdom and know God more deeply, with hearts enlightened to the hope we have in Christ and the greatness of His power at work in us (vv.17–19).

In a world filled with many choices and uncertainties, may we seek God’s wisdom and fix our hearts on the hope found in Him. As we make decisions each day, may we remember that Christ reigns above all things, trusting in His power, His faithfulness, and His perfect control over every circumstance.

đź“– Caring for One Another

Having been reminded of the fruit of the Spirit last week, Galatians 6:2 now calls us to put that fruit into action. One of the beautiful gifts of Christian fellowship is the encouragement and care we can share in times of joy, challenge, and need.

Jesus reminds us in John 13:34 to “love one another” just as He has loved us. This is the heart of fulfilling the law of Christ — caring for others with kindness, patience, and compassion. May we seek opportunities to be a blessing in our families, among friends, and throughout our college community, showing Christ’s love in practical and meaningful ways.

đź“– Growing the Fruit of the Spirit

Paul reminds us that a life led by the Spirit bears visible fruit. These are not qualities we simply strive to produce on our own, but the evidence of a life shaped by God.

Just as Jesus teaches in John 15, fruit grows when we remain connected to the vine. As we abide in Christ and walk by the Spirit, our hearts and lives are transformed to reflect His character more each day.

May we continue to grow in faith, choosing what pleases God and allowing His Spirit to bear good fruit in us.

📖 Living as God’s Children

Paul reminds us of the beautiful truth that through Christ, we are no longer slaves, but God’s children and heirs of His promise. Because we belong to Him, our lives are called to reflect this new identity — shaped by faith, freedom, and trust in our Heavenly Father.

May we be mindful in our words, attitudes, and actions, living in a way that honours God and reflects the hope and confidence we have as His children.

đź“– One in Christ

In Galatians 3, Paul reminds us that through faith in Jesus Christ, we are welcomed into God’s family and become heirs of His promise. Verse 28 points us to the beautiful truth that all who belong to Christ share the same standing before God — one in Christ Jesus.

Our identity in Christ is what binds us together. Though we each have different gifts, roles, and backgrounds, we are equally loved, equally valued, and called to live by faith in Him.

🎤 Strong First-Round Debating Victory 🌟

Our Stage 3 debating team recently competed in their first round of interschool debating against Northcross Christian School—last year’s reigning champions—and we’re delighted to share that they came away with the win.

Debating the topic “Children should have a say in decisions that affect them,” our students presented a thoughtful, well-structured and highly persuasive case. They spoke with clarity and confidence, showing strong teamwork, careful reasoning and great composure throughout the debate.

We are so blessed to have opportunities beyond the classroom like this, where we see our students growing in confidence, communication and critical thinking.

Congratulations to the team for representing the College so well.

đź“– Living by Faith

In Galatians 2:15–21, Paul reminds us that we are made right with God not by our own efforts, but by His grace through faith in Christ. Because of what Jesus has done for us, we are called to live differently, no longer centred on ourselves.

Verse 20 points us to this wonderful truth and calls us to consider what shapes our priorities each day. May we live by faith in Christ, seeking what truly matters and honouring Him in our learning, our relationships, and the choices we make.

📖 A Legacy of Faith 🕊

On Mother’s Day, we give thanks for the faith, love, and quiet faithfulness of mothers and mother figures in our community. Paul speaks of the sincere faith of Timothy’s grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice — a faith that was lovingly passed on to the next generation.

Mothers leave a lasting legacy as they honour God in their daily lives, teaching, praying, and pointing their children to Christ. May God strengthen and encourage all mothers as they continue this faithful work, knowing that their example shapes hearts for years to come.

Happy Mother’s Day 🌸

đź“– Seeking to Please God

In Galatians 1, Paul reminds us to stand firm in the truth of the gospel and not be swayed by the changing opinions or approval of others. Our first calling is to fear God, to honour Him, and to remain faithful to His Word.

May we live each day with hearts that seek to please God above all; in our learning, our relationships, and the choices we make, trusting that His Word is our sure guide.
