Malek Fahd Islamic School (MFIS) is proud to announce its strongest NAPLAN results in recent years, reflecting significant academic growth across its campuses and the collective efforts of students, staff, and families.

Between 2025 and 2026, MFIS recorded substantial improvement across Years 3, 5, 7 and 9, with cohort averages increasing in 18 of the 20 assessed NAPLAN domains.

These results highlight strengthening foundations in literacy and numeracy and demonstrate the impact of the School’s sustained focus on academic excellence.

Most notably, the number of cohorts performing above the NSW state average doubled in 2026, representing a significant improvement in student achievement relative to state benchmarks.

The results point to stronger academic consistency across the School and provide clear evidence that targeted teaching strategies, data-informed practice, explicit instruction, and strengthened learning routines are driving improved student outcomes.

Principal Dr Zachariah Matthews welcomed the results, describing them as an affirmation of the School’s commitment to continuous improvement and educational excellence.

A new Aspect satellite classroom is coming to Malek Fahd Islamic School in 2027.

We are pleased to be partnering with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) to open a new Aspect satellite classroom at our Greenacre Primary Campus for autistic learners in Kindergarten to Year 4 from Term 1, 2027.

The Aspect satellite classroom model brings autism-specific education into a mainstream school community. Learners will benefit from a small, structured classroom environment, specialist Aspect educators and personalised, evidence-informed teaching.

Learners will also have opportunities to participate in the wider life and activities of Malek Fahd Islamic School, supporting connection, inclusion and a sense of belonging within our school community.

This partnership brings together specialist support and inclusive education, providing an environment tailored to each learner’s individual strengths, interests and learning needs.

[ Greenacre ] Last week, we were delighted to welcome Dr Abdurrahman Asaroglu and Mr Shafiqur Khan from Gallipoli Education and Gallipoli Home to our Greenacre Campus, where they met with our Executive Team to explore opportunities for future collaboration.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss potential partnerships that could enrich learning experiences, support student growth, and create meaningful pathways for our learners beyond the classroom.
