Sometimes, the greatest things begin with something as simple as love. ❤️

Did you know that Kumon was born from a father’s love for his child?

When Toru Kumon noticed that his son was struggling with maths, he didn’t just hope things would improve. He sat down and created worksheets for him to practise for just 30 minutes each day.

That simple act of love, patience and belief became the foundation of the Kumon Method we know today. His son eventually progressed well beyond his school grade level and was solving calculus by the end of primary school!

It’s amazing to think that what started with one father creating worksheets for his son has grown into a learning method that has helped millions of children around the world.

And today, we see that same support from so many Kumon dads who make sure their children sit down, do their worksheets and keep going, even when it’s not always easy.

To all our Kumon dads, thank you for being part of your child’s learning journey and for supporting them, one worksheet at a time.
