OPEN DAY

Come and meet your local firefighters and learn about home fire safety at the Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) Open Day on Saturday, 13 May 2023.

Many fire stations across NSW will be throwing open their doors between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm to showcase FRNSW’s broad capabilities.

Children will be able to see a fire truck, demonstrations and firefighting equipment whilst the grown-ups will be able to find out more about home fire safety.

Kidz Dream Family Day Care is looking for a qualified and experienced Nominated Supervisor for our office in Granville. Your main role will be to approve, coordinate and advise educators working for our FDC and work closely with our managers and other field workers in a management role. The position requires someone who is dedicated, confident, and articulate in early childhood pedagogy and practice.

Duties

The Role:

The role is permanent full-time Nominated Supervisor. You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As the Educational Leader/Nominated Supervisor you will:

-Develop and implement programs for children aged 5 - 12 years - Oversee the implementation of the 'My Time Our Place" Framework and the National Quality Framework.

-Mentor and lead your educators

-Ensure that all policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory frameworks are adhered to

-Build positive and trusting relationships with the children, families, and wider community

-Carry out administration requirements.

Skills and Experience

-Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

-Prior experience with FDC

-New Working with Children Check.

-Completion of Child Protection course.

-Certified Supervisor Certificate, current approved first aid, and CPR.

-Current approved anaphylaxis and asthma management certificates.

-Thorough working knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.

You will be required to monitor, supervise and support our Family Day Care Educators in ensuring that they deliver quality care for our children. Join our friendly, fun, and caring team!

COVID Update ⬇

Childcare is classified as an essential service and continues to operate across NSW. ✅

The Dept of Education has advised your child can continue to attend childcare, even if you have been within the Greater Sydney area since 21/6/21 as long as:
- you have not been to an identified COVID location
- no one in your household has any COVID symptoms
- parents will need to wear a mask at pick up/drop off and asked not to enter the service

Please understand this is a particularly contagious and virulent strain and your Educator will be acting with extreme caution. If your educator suspects you or your child has any symptoms you will be asked to leave care immediately, be tested and not return until a negative test result is received.
We appreciate your cooperation during this challenging time.
