Year 9 Geography - Fieldwork in Action

Our Year 9 students took their learning beyond the classroom with a Geography fieldwork experience at Bobbin Head, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the national park, students explored the local environment, collected and analysed data, conducted water testing and made observations of the landscape and ecosystems around them.

A wonderful opportunity to put classroom learning into practice through observation, investigation and hands-on fieldwork. 🌿

Thank you Ms Kazi for organising this wonderful experience!

Learning, Leading & Growing Together 🌿

Over four enriching days in Adelaide, members of the MGGS team had the privilege of connecting, learning and reflecting alongside educators and leaders from across the Islamic education sector.

Our leadership team, Ms Diab, Ms Khan and Ms Ghamraoui, attended the ISAA Conference at Playford College, joining approximately 40 school leaders from across Australia and New Zealand. The two days provided valuable opportunities to explore the challenges and opportunities facing Muslim schools, exchange ideas and learn from the experiences of other Islamic schools.

They were then joined by Ms Achouh, Ms Taher and Ms Selema for the CITE Conference at the University of Adelaide, where sessions centred on tarbiyah and the role of the murabbi. Through workshops exploring pedagogy, curriculum, wellbeing and leadership through an Islamic worldview, we were reminded that meaningful education begins with our own reflection, intentionality and continual growth as educators.

We return to MGGS inspired, connected and excited to translate our learning into practice as we continue to strengthen the educational experience we provide for our girls. 🌿

Eid Mubarak 🌙

Eid al-Fitr is not simply the closing of Ramadan, but a day of gratitude for being allowed to reach it. A day where we hope our ibadah is accepted, and we return to Allah with humility and sincerity.

It marks the end of a month that taught us restraint, patience, and remembrance. These lessons not meant to be left behind, but carried into our daily lives, within our homes and across our communities.

To our students and their families, may Allah accept your efforts and Ibadah, bring ease and barakah into your homes, and keep you firm upon the good you built throughout Ramadan.
