Official Naughty and Nice List | Department of Christmas Affairs The Department of Christmas Affairs uses the Global Behaviour Tracking Network and data mining technology to determine who will be in good favour come Christmas.
Nutrition Australia reports that children’s eating behaviours which they would consider normal developmental behaviours are often labelled as fussy eating.
Up to 50% of all 0-3 year old children refuse to eat new and different foods at least half the time.
Our wonderful chef , Trina, creates tasty, nutritious meals based on family feedback, children's requests and in line with Nutrition Australia healthy eating guidelines.

In the Evergreen room, we have been exploring pipe blocks. Our toddlers were confident in seeking out and accepting a new challenge, making discoveries and celebrating their own efforts and achievements The children challenged their problem solving skills in order to get the pieces to connect as each end is a different size to allow it to slide over the next piece.
Our toddlers are curious and enthusiastic participants
in their learning who persist even when they find a task difficult.

Why should we share books outside too?
Time in nature is calming, the ability to focus and pay attention is increased and natural light is beneficial for children's eyesight. All of this lays the foundations of healthy child development that is needed for learning to read. The opportunity to listen to books outside can be just as enjoyable as indoors
Have you spotted our dinosaur play area?
One of our educators Dads made us the cool platform to set up our dinosaur world from a pallet and some pretend grass. He also chopped and prepared the wooden stumps to help add some dimension to the space.
Thank you so much Michael Schultz, father of Nic Schultz- we really appreciate your efforts and the children totally love the play space

Due to the success of todays lunch of vegetarian sausage rolls with the children and to then be asked by staff for the recipe also, I thought I would share this very easy recipe for everyone to enjoy.
Vegetarian Sausage Rolls
Ingredients:
Puff Pastry
Approx. 200g sweet potato
3 slices of day old or stale bread
1 can of lentils
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp cumin
I tsp vegetable stock powder
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp of onion powder
1 pack of dried parmesan cheese (20g of nutritional yeast if dairy free)
Bunch of parsley
2 eggs
Recipe:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Blend sweet potato in food processor.
Add in bread and lentils to the sweet potato pulp then blend until all combined.
Add in remaining ingredients until combined.
Cut a sheet of pastry down the middle and spoon mixture down the middle, then roll to form a sausage roll, cut into 4 or 2 sausage rolls and place on baking paper lined oven tray.
Continue this process until tray is full and place in the oven until it is a lovely flaky golden brown appearance.
Then Enjoy!
These also Freeze well.

Babies love mirrors because they love faces and interacting with the “other baby” they see!
Mirrors can spark curiosity and motivate little ones to practice these skills:
- Vision: Their visual tracking skills become stronger as they watch reflections of moving things.
- Fine Motor Skills: Mirrors inspire babies to reach, pat, and point.
- Gross Motor Movement: Babies are motivated to roll, sit up, crawl, and stand to get closer to their reflection.
- Sense of Self: Around 20 months, they realize that the “other baby” in the reflection is actually them!
- Language and Emotional Skills: Mirrors are a creative way to use imitation to teach things like vocabulary, gestures, and other emotional expressions.
