Lockdown Practice - Update for Families

Today we conducted an unscheduled lockdown practice with our older children who remained at OSHC while the younger group enjoyed their zoo excursion.

We're pleased to report that the practice went very smoothly. The children responded calmly and followed all instructions while in our designated safe room. They had many thoughtful questions during and after the practice, which gave us a valuable opportunity to discuss safety procedures in an age-appropriate way.

As required under the Education and Care Services National Regulations, we regularly rehearse our emergency and evacuation procedures to ensure the ongoing safety and wellbeing of all children in our care. These practices help children feel confident and prepared should a real emergency ever occur.

We're incredibly proud of how our children handled today's practice, they demonstrated maturity, cooperation, and calm behaviour throughout.

We'll continue practicing these procedures regularly to ensure that all children, across all attendance days, are familiar with what to do in the event of an emergency.

Happy Holidays from the OSHC Team!

Dear Families,
As we wrap up another incredible year at OSHC, we want to take a moment to thank you for entrusting us with your little treasures. It has been an absolute joy watching them grow, learn, and thrive throughout 2024.

Today marks our last day of operation for the year, with doors closing at 6pm. We will be taking a well-deserved break to recharge and spend time with our own families, and we’ll be back, refreshed and ready, on January 6th at 7am to kick off another amazing year together.

Thank you for your unwavering support, kindness, and partnership. We are so grateful to be part of your children’s lives and can’t wait to make 2025 even better.
