On Thursday our students in Prep/Three have been at school this year for 100 days. To celebrate we filled our classroom with 100 balloons. The students were so very excited to see their space full of colour. Lots of fun and learning was enjoyed. We let the children decide how they could count the balloons. It was decided to put them in groups of ten. This made the task much easier. We also did some patterning and colour grouping.

Grandchester School was taken over by all thing prehistoric yesterday. As a reward for all the childrens hard work this term, the day was spent enjoying everything dinosaurs, from stomping dinosaurs feet to Rusty the Raptor Show. Our wonderful P&C provided a buffet of dinosaurs nuggets,pterodactyl nests and dinosaurs biscuits. All the children ( and teachers) had a wonderful day.

Fire safety is so important, especially this time of year. Thanks to the Rosewood Fire Service for their visit.

UNDER 8'S DAY

On Monday we celebrated under 8's day. The school was filled with children living their best life. Police Ambulance and Fire Brigade were in attendance. The children also had games,bubbles and goo to keep them busy. A great morning was had by all.

This term our literary focus is dinosaurs. Lots of work discovering bones today. We also sent home some baby dinosaurs!

The year 3-6 class have been busy exploring dinosaurs this terms and as part of design technologies are creating models of their dinosaurs using the chomp saws or as we like to call them the “chomposaurs”!
