What Parents Don't See... 💙

Confessions of a Swimming Teacher

You don't see the early “at the pool” setting up before lessons.

You don't see the hours of planning, adapting every lesson to suit every child.

You don't see the endless chants of "Kick, kick, kick!"… you say it’s too loud or distracting all that pool noise 🤦‍♀️

You don't see the badges written, the encouragement given, or the quiet moments spent rebuilding confidence after a tough lesson.

You don't see the tears we hide when a child who was once terrified finally swims on their own.

You don't see that we don't just teach swimming—we build confidence, celebrate every tiny achievement, and help children learn a skill that could one day save their life.

You only see 30 mins in the pool.

We see the journey.

And we care more than you'll ever know. 💙🏊‍♀️

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone this week for the start of Term 2 lessons. If you haven’t received an email with your child’s lesson information, please let me know.

Week 1 - Mother’s Day 👩
Week 2 - Candyland 🍭
Week 3 - Zoo Safari 🦒🐘
Week 4 - Under the Sea 🐳🪼
Week 5 - The Wild West 🤠 🐴
Week 6 - Disney’s Toy Story 🚀
Week 7 - Safety Week
Week 8 - Revision & Assessments

💦 Our Safety Week will be Sports themed and will be in Week 7 this term due to the Public Holiday in Week 6.

💦 Lessons for the Public holiday will be rescheduled for later in Term 2.

Well, just like that, Term 1 has finished - the weeks have just flown. Well done again to these little champions - they’ve all put in a solid effort and should be very proud of their achievements. Wishing all my beautiful swimming families a lovely Easter. I hope you all get to spend some quality time with your loved ones.
