🌻 Disability Recognition Week 🌻

This week, our school recognised Disability Recognition Week (18–22 May 2026), a NSW Department of Education initiative that celebrates and supports people with disability while promoting inclusive and supportive school communities.

Throughout the week, students and staff learnt about hidden disabilities and recognised that not all challenges are visible. Together, we explored the importance of empathy, understanding, and kindness while celebrating a school community where every student is valued, supported, and encouraged to shine in their own unique way. 💛

This week, MM4 went behind the scenes at Woolworths with Jason, the Produce Manager. 🍎🥦

The boys learnt about stock rotation, food safety, storage, online orders, and how the cool room and back dock operate, skills they can continue using back at The Crescent School’s Mini Woolies program. 🛒

A huge thank you to Jason and the Woolworths team for such a valuable real-world learning experience! 👏

| ANZAC DAY 2026 |

ANZAC Day was honoured at The Crescent School with a ceremony held on Friday 24th April.

Our students and staff came together to recognise the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country. We are incredibly proud of Archie, who read The Ode, and Nate, who delivered the Acknowledgement of Country with confidence and respect. Eli, Evan, Eva and Indie also represented our school with pride as they laid wreaths during the ceremony.

We were also proud to have our school leaders and students attend the Goulburn ANZAC Day March, where our captains laid a wreath on behalf of the school. Thank you for representing The Crescent School so respectfully within the community.

🧡 HARMONY DAY CELEBRATION 🧡

Last Friday, our school came together to celebrate Harmony Day, recognising the importance of inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all.

Students and staff wore orange and participated in a range of engaging activities throughout the day - from hands-on sensory experiences and cooking, to music, movement and shared class activities. 🧡

It was wonderful to see our students connecting, participating and celebrating what makes each of us unique.
