Country to Canberra has officially launched its annual Power Trip competition, giving regional young people the opportunity to share their ideas and perspectives on this year’s theme:

“What does the future of health look like in your community?”

The competition encourages students in Years 10–12 to have their voices heard on the issues impacting rural and regional Australia, with winners travelling to Canberra to take part in leadership workshops, connect with politicians and changemakers, and meet other passionate young leaders from across the country.

Young people in our regional communities have valuable ideas, lived experiences and perspectives worth sharing. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of that conversation.

🎉 1000 students and counting 🎉

Today, CUC Goulburn welcomed our 1000th registered student since opening in 2018, a milestone that reflects the strength of our growing regional learning community.

Welcome, Victoria, our 1000th student, now in her third year of postgraduate studies in Doctor of Medicine and Surgery.

On Monday night, Victoria gave back to local aspiring medical students at our Connections to Medicine event, sharing honest insights into studying medicine and answering questions from students and parents.

That sense of connection, support and students helping students is at the heart of what CUC Goulburn is all about.

Established in 2018 as one of the original Country Universities Centre pilot sites, CUC Goulburn was created to reduce the barriers regional students face in accessing higher education.

Since then, the Centre has grown into a thriving community of learners studying everything from nursing and teaching to engineering, psychology, medicine and more, all while staying connected to the communities they call home.

To every student who has walked through our doors over the years, whether for a quiet place to study, support during exams, course advice, a cup of coffee or simply a sense of belonging, thank you. This milestone belongs to all of you 🧡

Applications are now open for the 2027 Snow Scholarships at the University of Canberra for students from regional and rural NSW commencing undergraduate study.

Successful students can receive up to $30,000 per year to support accommodation, living costs, travel and study, along with academic mentoring, leadership development and ongoing support throughout their university journey.

What a fantastic turnout for Uni101 on Monday night 👏

Thank you to everyone who attended, and to the university representatives and student mentors who helped make the evening such a success.

It was great to see students and parents come together to explore different course options and higher education pathways, while having their questions answered directly by university representatives.

Guests also heard honest stories from current university students studying in different ways, on campus, online and through a mix of both. These conversations showed that there’s no single path into university, and that study can look different for everyone.

At CUC Goulburn, we aim to help students and families better understand and navigate the sometimes confusing university landscape, while highlighting the many opportunities available after school.
