FACT - When a woman has a cardiac arrest in public, she is less likely than a man to get bystander CPR or have a defibrillator used on her 🩷
They're Bo***es, Not Barriers. Women Need CPR Too

Every one of us can change the odds.🩷

When a woman collapses in public, she's less likely to get CPR/AED than a man, and hesitation around exposing/touching the woman’s chest is often what holds people back…

The fix isn't complicated: know that CPR is the same for every body, and be ready to step in.

Please be aware 👀

Snake bite season is here! It's important to know the signs, because getting your pet to the vet as soon as possible after a bite hugely increases their chances of recovery.

Signs of a snake bite in pets can include:
🐍 Sudden weakness or collapse which can be followed by some temporary improvement
🐍Panting or laboured breathing
🐍 Salivating and/or vomiting
🐍 Shaking or twitching muscles
🐍 Paralysis
🐍 Blood in urine
🐍 Dilated (large) pupils

Snake bites can be fatal, making them a time critical emergency. If your pet has been bitten, if you find your pet with a snake, (either a dead or alive snake), or even if you think they may have been bitten, they need IMMEDIATE veterinary attention. It is always best to call prior to your arrival at the hospital. This gives the veterinary team a chance to set up for the emergency, giving your pet the best chance of survival.
