Exploring colours through science as the children use droppers and vinegar to discover hidden colours in bicarb soda 🧪🌈

This experience encouraged vocabulary building as the children made predictions and comparisons as well as building on problem solving skills and working collaboratively to form opinions based on observation 🧡

A simple sensory table to scaffold the children’s learning about colours this week 🌈

Lots of opportunity for learning through play as the children engage in early mathematical and scientific concepts through scooping, pouring, mixing and measuring, all while having FUN 🧡

This week we are learning all about colours 🌈

The children have been practising their colour recognition with a sorting experience and making the colours of the rainbow using just 3 primary colours, blue, yellow and red. This experience has brought a lot of curiosity and excitement and we plan to continue our learning into next week 🧡

NSW Government has announced another landmark investment today to recognise early learning professionals for their invaluable work.

This package will:
👩‍🎓turbocharge our scholarships program
💡make it easier for existing workers to upskill, including through accelerated career pathways
🏫partner with universities to create new, fast-tracked degree programs
👩‍👦offer financial incentives to services to attract and retain their workforce, including though improved pay and conditions.

Ocean day 🐠🐙🐬🐳🐋

This week we have been learning about the ocean and how we can do our part in the environment to contribute to ‘Revitalization’ 🌎

The children have engaged in sensory and imaginary play while also having group discussions and reading.

Many questions and curiosity came from these experiences and by spreading awareness to the children about the impact humans have on our oceans and marine life, they will have all the tools they need to become environmentally responsible adults 🧡

This morning’s playdoh experience targeting language development, colour recognition and experimenting colour mixing as a common interest within the service by offering various cutters and coloured playdoh 🧡🌈

Today the children explored a nature tray, open to interpretation by each child 🍃

The children manipulated the corks to form patterns down the bark and paintbrushes on the leaves and rocks before getting their hands messy and stamping handprints 🧡
