🚗🚑 Our Stage 6 students recently attended the B Street Smart program at Qudos Bank Arena. As an initiative of the Westmead Trauma Service and their commitment to Road Safety Education, the program provides students with real-life insights into road safety, responsible decision-making and the impact that choices can have on themselves and others.

It was a great opportunity for our students to build awareness and prepare for the responsibilities of being future drivers and passengers.

Every young person deserves to feel safe, respected, and heard. 👂

Last week, students in Years 7, 8, and 9 participated in a session with Consent Labs, a youth-led organisation committed to preventing sexual violence and promoting respectful relationships.

Through engaging and age-appropriate discussions, students learned about consent, personal rights, respectful interactions, and where to seek support when needed. A big thank you to Consent Labs for helping empower our students with the knowledge and tools to build safe and respectful relationships.

Our High School Transition Program continued this week with another fantastic session! 🧑‍🎨

Led by Alyshia and Tahlia, students got creative, learned new techniques and used their hands to craft creatures out of clay. The session was a great introduction to the learning experiences they'll continue to develop in Year 7, and it was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they became more comfortable with their peers.

In our next session on September 2, we'll explore Mathematics and Geography, but don’t worry, it’ll be just as engaging and enjoyable as the first two sessions. 🗺️👀

A peek into National Science Week at ETASC 👀🧪

Our science team pulled out all the stops to make this year's Science Week the best one yet. From making honeycomb and slime to creating elephant toothpaste and dissecting a prawn (yes, it was as stinky as it sounds!), students had the chance to explore the different areas of science in a fun and hands-on way.

With such a variety of activities on offer, there was something to capture everyone's interest, and it was fantastic to see students jumping at the chance to get involved.

A big thank you to our science team for their tremendous effort in bringing it all together and making it such a memorable experience.
