Future Year 7 Families - Enrol Now and Win!

If your child is starting Year 7 at Gordonvale State High School in 2027, now is the time to enrol!

Families who have completed their enrolment by 8 November will go into the draw to win a $100 Uniform Voucher, generously donated by the GSHS P&C Association.

Enrolling early also ensures your child can participate in our Orientation Day on Friday, 27 November. This important event gives future Year 7 students the opportunity to meet teachers, connect with future classmates, explore the school, and experience secondary school life before they start high school.

Good luck to Kaylee & Mr Trent (coach) who are participating in the 11-12yrs Queensland School Sport Rugby League Championships on the Gold Coast.

All games from the 11-12yrs and 13-14yrs QSSRL Championships are live streamed. Get behind the girls from FNQ as they take on some of the best rugby league talent in Queensland!

TCS ATHLETICS

Congratulations to our squad of 50 Gordonvale State High School Track and Field athletes who compete at the TCS District trials last week.

We had exceptional results, placing 2nd overall and having Henry and Ociana 14 Years Age champions, Dominique 16 years Age champion, Lawrence and Jemma 18 Years Age Champions with multiple runner up age champions.

A special congratulations to Jemma who set four records in the 18 Years Long Jump, Triple Jump, Discus and 400m.

Good luck to our 38 students who qualified for the TCS team to compete at Peninsula Athletics 23-24th August.

GORDONVALE STATE SCHOOL UNDER 8'S DAY

Last Friday, we had a wonderful time attending the Under 8s Day celebrations with our Hospitality and Childcare students.

Our Hospitality students loved helping the young children decorate delicious cupcakes, showing their creativity and making plenty of happy memories along the way. Meanwhile, our Childcare students had great fun getting hands-on with kinetic sand activities, where there was, of course, plenty of mess!

A special thank you to Karen and Jacinta, who collected the Kindy students from the Daycare and brought them along to enjoy all the excitement of the day.

It was fantastic to see our students engaging with the community, sharing their skills, and helping create a fun and memorable experience for the little ones.

🔎 The scene was sealed. The evidence was waiting. The investigation began.

A suspicious crime scene, a trail of evidence, and a team of determined Year 12 investigators. Using forensic science techniques, our Science in Practice students sifted through clues, questioned suspects, and worked to solve the case. Turns out, every mystery leaves a trace.

The mystery was fictional. The science was real. 🔎🧪
