At the recent Southern Fleurieu Swimming Carnival, 12 of our students produced remarkable performances, resulting in a third-place finish, possibly the strongest we've ever had. 3 students have progressed to the Marion event. We recognise the valuable roles played by PE Teacher Mr C-B and our volunteers in supporting this achievement. The team was clearly focused on aiming high, working hard, and being kind.

It’s been a big last couple of weeks of school, with plenty to celebrate beyond our Christmas Fun Day. 🎄

We were incredibly proud to acknowledge the huge number of students who entered the Alexandrina Council Mayor’s Short Story Challenge, with around 100 entries submitted by our students. What an amazing effort!

We also held our inaugural Goolwa Spelling Bee, an idea suggested to our Leadership Team by Jaron in Year 6, who also took on the role of judge. Over 50 students registered their interest, and three rounds were held during student lunch breaks.

Congratulations to our finalists and winners:
🥉 Jak – 3rd
🥈 Riley – 2nd
🥇 Noor – Winner
And well done to Tyler, who placed 4th in the final round.

We also took time to farewell our Year 6 students as they prepare for their next chapter, and to say goodbye to Mrs Kenny and Ms Medlin, who are heading off to new adventures in 2026. You will all be missed. ❤️

If that wasn’t enough to keep us busy, we were also lucky enough to have a visit from Santa in his sleigh 🎅 Thank you to the Lions Club for organising this special visitor and for providing all of our students with an ice block.

What a fantastic way to end the year. We wish all of our families a safe, happy and restful holiday break.

Many thanks to Variety SA who provided us the funding to put this day on for our students 3 years in a row, we are so grateful! Thanks to Heritage Pies & Pastries that delivered over 300 pies, pasties and sausage rolls for lunch.
