🌍🌍STEAM HQ goes Global🌍🌍

Great opportunity yesterday for two of our presenters Mitch and Harvey to meet with Okan from Twin Science in Istanbul, Turkey. We had a great discussion about Twin and their vision in sustainable education.

Was great to make a friend on the other side of the world. Looking forward to continuing our relationship and connection with .

🔔STEM Opportunity🔔

My name's Chris and I'm the General Manager of Junior Engineers, a company focussed on building tech literacy amongst kids and equipping them with essential 21st century skills through our after-school extracurricular program.

Earlier this year we contacted our partner at the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy who provided a list of contacts that were highlighted as Stem Champions for a QLD mentoring program that was halted due to COVID. I'm reaching out to you all to see if you'd be willing to share our details with any networks you may have of people who are keen on developing their digital technologies knowledge and honing their instructor skills through a paid mentorship with Junior Engineers.

Over the past 3 months we've employed 18 year students across South East QLD who work with our Senior Instructors to deliver both our after school and school holiday programs and we want to extend this initiative both outside of SE QLD and to a wider pool of STEM education enthusiast. We're open to receiving expressions of interest from anyone across QLD who'd like to learn from our highly skilled Senior Instructors or those who feel they're capable of stepping into a senior role immediately, provided they have the necessary skills and experience.

Anyone who's interested in finding out more can simply reply to this email and I'll schedule a phone call to give more details on the program.

📣📣📣PD Series Term 4 Announcement📣📣📣

Goodna State School's STEAM HQ team are proud to announce our free professional development series for term 4 of 2022 thanks to the Google CS Educator Grant.

Now entering our fourth year of presenting as apart of the Google CS Educator Series, still the only public primary school to host the PDs in South East Queensland. We are driven by the want to get as much tech into classrooms as possible to give our students the best preparation for the world of the future. We also want to empower teachers to feel confident in teaching using this tech in all areas of the Australian Curriculum.
