Wednesday nights with the Black Belts. New combos, deliberately awkward at the start. Different timing, different footwork, different intent. The idea isn't to get it perfect straight away or look pretty - it's to push through when it isn't. These guys did exactly that. Proud of them.

A "moment" in time photo from Sparring at the end of our first Junior session back for Term 2. A Blue belt with hands up and being mobile (confidence, experience) and a White belt learning to keep hands up and how to be mobile. Different spots on the same path.
Our Kinder Kicks classes are better described as 'Pre-Martial Arts'. It's a proven (& fun) way to get 3-4yo's used to routines and basic Martial Arts techniques. Here's some of our Legends getting an intro to breakfalls during a 'Rolling' themed class.

On Saturday, we attended a Knife Defence and Knife Fighting Skills & Drills Seminar expertly guided by Kacey Chong.
Loved it - it was so much fun! Sensei Caitlin and Dai Senpai Em had a bit of fun with sparring too.
It was also great to catch up with some old mates (cheers Don Passmore).
