Tonight we have crews assisting with a hazard reduction burn (13/07/2021 starting 7pm) at Fern Hill Drive, WillowvaleđĽ. Smoke will affect the Willowvale, Kingsholme/Montego Hills and Ormeau areas.
We assist landholders conducting hazard reduction burns (HRB) to reduce bushfire risk ahead of bushfire season. HRBs are conducted during favourable weather conditions to lessen fuel loads on the ground. đ đ
This is important work to protect people and property from the risk of bushfires. We work to minimise the potential impact of smoke, however nearby residents may need to close windows and doors.
