🏴‍☠️⚓ AHOY, MATEYS! TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY! ⚓🏴‍☠️

On 19th September, our Kindy 2 room at Papilio Reedy Creek got into the pirate spirit and celebrated Talk Like a Pirate Day! 🏴‍☠️🦜
Our little pirates had a fantastic day filled with creative experiences, imaginative play and lots of “ARRR, matey!” 🗺️⚓️

♻️ GETTING CREATIVE WITH RECYCLING!
The children put their creativity to work by making their very own pirate hats using recycled Woolworths bags! 🏴‍☠️ They also worked together to create a pirate ship using recycled cardboard boxes, turning everyday materials into an exciting pirate adventure! 📦🚢

🎨 PIRATE FACE PAINT!
To finish off their pirate transformations, the children had pirate eye masks painted on their faces, making them look like real little swashbucklers! 🏴‍☠️🖌️

Through our pirate-themed experiences, the children were able to explore imaginative play, creativity, communication, teamwork and sustainability while having lots of fun together. 💚🌿

We loved watching our Kindy 2 children use their imaginations to create their own pirate adventures and make something amazing from recycled materials! 🥰

We are so excited to officially welcome Roxanne, our new Early Childhood Teacher, to the Papilio Reedy Creek family! 🥰

We thought we’d take the opportunity to help our families get to know Roxanne a little better.

👩‍🏫 A little bit about Roxanne:
Roxanne has been working in the early childhood industry for 10 years, including 7 years in Australia and 3 years in the Philippines.

🎓 Qualifications:
Roxanne graduated in the Philippines with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, majoring in Special Needs.

💚 What does Roxanne enjoy most about working with children?
“I enjoy most when children discover the world through different activities and play.” 🌈✨

🎨 What does Roxanne hope to bring to Papilio Reedy Creek?
Roxanne hopes to bring her passion for designing creative, play-based activities for children, creating engaging experiences where children can explore, learn and have fun. 🎨🧩🌿

🌈 Roxanne’s teaching philosophy:
“I believe every child is capable and unique, with their own strengths and ways of learning. I value quality learning programs to match their capabilities.”

Today we are celebrating a very special milestone — 5 years in the Early Childhood Education industry! 💛

Congratulations, Miss Andrea, on reaching this wonderful achievement! 🥰 Over the past five years, you have dedicated so much time, care and passion to supporting and nurturing young children. Your commitment to making a positive difference in children’s lives is truly something to be proud of.

Today, we farewell our wonderful educator Miss Geise, as she begins an exciting new chapter at one of our sister centres on the Sunshine Coast.

Miss Geise has been a highly valued member of the Papilio Reedy Creek team and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Her dedication, kindness and genuine care have made a lasting difference to the children, families and educators within our nursery and 0-2 learning environments. Through her hard work and nurturing approach, she has helped create a safe, welcoming and supportive space where our youngest children could learn, grow and feel secure.

We are incredibly grateful for the love, patience and commitment Miss Geise has shown throughout her time with us. Her warm presence and positive contribution to our centre will be deeply missed by everyone who has had the pleasure of working with and getting to know her.

Although we are so very sad to see her go, we are excited for Miss Geise as she begins this new journey. Her new centre is very fortunate to welcome such a passionate, caring and dedicated educator to its team.

We wish Miss Geise, her husband and their daughter every happiness and success as they begin this next chapter together. From all of us at Papilio Reedy Creek, thank you for everything you have contributed to our community. We wish you all the very best for the future - you will be greatly missed.

💙 Father’s Day at Papilio Reedy Creek 💙

What a wonderful afternoon we had celebrating Father’s Day at Papilio Reedy Creek! 🥰

On 4th September, we welcomed our wonderful dads, grandads and special father figures into the center to spend some quality time with their little ones. 💙

There were lots of smiles, laughter and special memories made throughout the afternoon! The children and their loved ones enjoyed a delicious sausage sizzle and ginger b**r, as well as getting involved in our fun Father’s Day activities. 🌭🧃

It was so beautiful to see our children proudly showing their dads and loved ones around their Kindy and enjoying these special moments together. These are the memories that make our center community so special! 🥰

A huge thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make our Father’s Day celebration such a special afternoon. We hope you all had a fantastic Father’s Day! 💙

🦷✨Delivering Dental visits Papilio Reedy Creek!✨🦷

We had a very special visit from our wonderful dental team Delivering Dental at Papilio Reedy Creek! 🪥

Every 6 months, our visiting dental team comes to the centre to give our children the opportunity to have their teeth checked in a familiar and comfortable environment. This helps our little ones become familiar with dental visits and encourages healthy oral hygiene habits from an early age. 🥰

We were so proud of all our brave little superstars who had their dental checks! 🌟 Some even looked like little professionals in their protective glasses! 😎🦷

A huge thank you to our dental team for taking such wonderful care of our children and helping make their dental experience a positive one. 💕🪥

🧪🌈 Little Scientists at Work! 🌈🧪

Last month, the children had so much fun exploring science experiments and discovering what happens when different ingredients are mixed together! 🔬✨

One of our experiments was using bicarbonate soda, vinegar and colourful food colouring. The children loved watching the ingredients react, bubble and fizz while exploring colours and making predictions about what might happen! 🫧🌈

We also explored milk, dish soap and food colouring. The children watched in amazement as the colours moved, mixed and swirled across the milk! 🥛🎨

These hands-on experiences encouraged the children to ask questions, make observations, experiment and learn through play. Most importantly, they had lots of fun being little scientists! 💕👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

We love creating opportunities for our children to explore, discover and learn something new! 🌟

Last month, we had so much fun celebrating Book Week at Papilio Reedy Creek! 💕📖

Our little ones had a wonderful time dressing up as their favorite book characters and bringing some of their favorite stories to life. 🥰✨

We loved seeing all the creativity, excitement and beautiful costumes from our children and families. From superheroes and princesses to much-loved storybook characters, it was a fantastic celebration of the magic of books! 🌈🦸‍♀️👑🐻

Celebrating NAIDOC Week at our centre last week, 6th July - 10th July ⚫️🟡🔴 🟢🔵🟢

We celebrated NAIDOC Week, a time to recognise and honour the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It’s a special opportunity for our children to learn, listen and show respect to the world’s oldest continuing cultures.

At our centre our educators worked together to plan exciting activities for the children to learn about inclusiveness and diversity.

Explored Dreaming stories and talked about caring for Country.

Enjoyed arts and crafts inspired by traditional symbols and patterns.

Listened to music and practiced gentle movement and rhythm together.

Reflected on the theme of the year and what it means to be kind and inclusive.

We’re grateful for the guidance of Elders and community members who share knowledge with us and help our little learners grow with curiosity and respect.
