Spanish Language school Risas Spanish is run by a group of entrepreneur mums, passionate and proud about raising bilingual children.
We also love teaching and our cultural heritage, and want to share it with the community. We offer Spanish classes in Childcare Centres, Community Centres and private lessons. Based in Gold Coast city we also run a weekly Spanish playgroup (Chiquirisas Spanish Playgroup) open to everyone willing to start this wonderful journey about learning a new language, have some fun through playing, singing,

Hola amigos!! today we share this beautiful story about a boy that was worried about many things...his grandma gives him a very special doll to help him...we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
This story is about Worry Dolls (also called trouble dolls; in Spanish, Muñeca quitapena) they are small, hand-made dolls that originate from Guatemala. According to legend, Guatemalan children tell their worries to the Worry Dolls, placing them under their pillow when they go to bed at night. By morning, the dolls have gifted them with the wisdom and knowledge to eliminate their worries.
