Our kindy children have been busy little helpers as part of our Lunchbox Program! 💙
The children have loved getting hands-on as they prepare their own lunchboxes, developing important skills such as independence, fine motor skills, decision-making and healthy food choices. 🍎🥪
From carefully selecting and packing their sandwiches to proudly preparing their own lunchboxes, it has been wonderful to see their confidence grow. Most importantly, the children are learning that preparing food can be fun, social and something they can take ownership of! 🥰

Our little learners have been busy scooping and transferring colourful balls into paint trays! 🎨⚪️
As they carefully scoop, reach and place each ball, they’re building their hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, balance and coordination — all through a fun, hands-on play experience. 💛

For children, play is so much more than just fun — it’s how they learn, explore and connect with the world around them. ✨
Through play experiences like building obstacle courses, exploring water and playing alongside their friends, our children are developing new skills while building meaningful relationships with one another. They are learning to share ideas, take turns, communicate, cooperate and problem-solve together. 🤝
These everyday moments of play provide opportunities for children to feel a sense of belonging, develop confidence and learn from one another. 💕

Our Kindy children have been exploring our world and learning about the amazing planet we all call home. Through conversations and hands-on experiences, the children have been thinking about where we come from, the different places around the world, and what makes our planet special. 🌏
The children then worked together to create their own representation of the world using collage paper and cellophane. As they created, they explored colours, shapes, textures and how different pieces could come together to make one big picture. 🎨
A wonderful opportunity to learn about our world while encouraging creativity, collaboration and curiosity! 💚💙

This week, our Kindy children have been having some important conversations as part of Child Protection Week, helping them understand that every child has the right to feel safe, happy, listened to and cared for.💛
Through simple, age-appropriate conversations, we talked about things the children can relate to — like knowing who their safe adults are, what to do when they feel worried or unsure, telling someone when they need help, using their voice when they don’t like something, and knowing that they can always talk to a trusted grown-up.
The children then created their own “Circle of Security” hands. ✋✨ They traced around their hands and drew the special people on their fingertips who are part of their trusted circle — the people they can go to for a cuddle, a chat, help when they are worried, or simply someone who makes them feel safe and loved. 🥰💕
It was a lovely way for the children to think about the important people in their lives and the people they know they can turn to. 💜
Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, loved and supported — every day. 🌈

💛Today, our children and educators wore yellow as we took a moment to recognise R U OK? Day and the importance of looking out for one another. 🌼

In early learning, so much of our day is about connection — welcoming each other in the morning, sitting together, sharing stories, helping a friend, giving a hug or simply noticing when someone might need a little extra care. 💛

R U OK? Day is a lovely reminder for all of us — children, educators and families — that it’s okay to check in, to talk about our feelings and to let someone know when we need support.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Story House Early Learning Pimpama has been named a finalist in the 2026 National Kitchen Garden Awards.

Selected as one of just 27 finalists from close to 650 entries across Australia, Pimpama has been recognised in the Art of Kitchen Gardening category. 🎨🌱

This recognition celebrates the creative ways our children transform plants, fresh produce and sensory play into meaningful learning and artistic expression.
