There was so much excitement in our Pre-Kindy room as our children joined our amazing kitchen team for a hands-on cooking experience! πŸ•
Our little learners explored the process of making pizzas from start to finish, using muffin buns as their base and a delicious homemade tomato sauce infused with herbs from our very own kitchen garden 🌿
From spreading the sauce to sprinkling cheese and selecting their favourite toppings, the children built confidence, independence, and creativity while having so much fun!
Cooking experiences like this support fine motor development, encourage healthy food choices, and create meaningful learning opportunities through play.πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³

In our Kindergarten room, the children have been exploring creativity through nature-inspired art πŸƒπŸŽ¨
They began by painting the base of their trees onto paper, using brushes to create strong trunks and branches. Then, they dipped leaves into paint and carefully pressed them onto their artwork. When they lifted the leaves away, they revealed beautiful leaf prints, creating their very own unique tree masterpieces.
This hands-on activity supported their creativity, fine motor skills, and connection to the natural worldβ€”all while having so much fun!

In our Pre-Kindy room, the children have been exploring the wonderful world of Australian animals πŸΎπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί
They recently showed a strong interest in echidnas, so we followed their curiosity through a hands-on creative experience. The children rolled and squeezed playdough to form their own echidna shapes, then carefully used skewers to create the spiky spines.
This activity supported their fine motor skills, creativity, and understanding of native wildlifeβ€”all while having so much fun!

Today our children took on an exciting mission to save the insects 🐞🌿
Using big tweezers, the children carefully worked together to rescue and move the insects, navigating them around the masking tape paths. It was wonderful to see their focus, coordination, and determination as they practised controlling the tweezers and guiding the insects safely to their destination.
This hands-on experience supported the development of fine motor skills, problem-solving, and teamwork, while also encouraging care and respect for living things.

Our children in our Pre Kindy room took on the important role of caring for our centre animals πŸΎπŸ’š
They showed kindness, responsibility, and teamwork as they helped feed and look after our friendly lizard, Lenny 🦎 The children were so gentle and curious, asking questions and learning all about what Lenny needs to stay happy and healthy.
Experiences like this help build empathy, confidence, and a sense of responsibility as the children learn how to care for living things 🌿

Our kindy children have been exploring the amazing life cycle of a plant! 🌼 From tiny seeds to growing sprouts and blooming flowers, the children have been learning how plants grow and change over time.
To extend their learning, the children completed a fun cut-and-paste activity, sequencing each stage of the plant cycle. This hands-on experience helped build their understanding while also supporting their fine motor skills and creativity. βœ‚οΈπŸŒΏ

Our kindy children have been diving into the magic of small world play, where big stories come to life in tiny spaces! πŸ¦–πŸ‘πŸŒ³
Using a variety of materials and figurines, the children explored their imagination and curiosity, creating their own little worlds filled with adventures, characters, and storytelling. Small world play is a wonderful way to support creativity, problem-solving, and social skills while allowing children to express their ideas freely. πŸ’πŸ’›

Our junior kindy children set off on a beautiful nature hunt, exploring the outdoors and collecting treasures along the way πŸŒΏπŸƒ
With curious minds and busy hands, they gathered leaves, sticks, sand, and flowers, bringing their discoveries back to create a stunning natural art collage. It was wonderful to see their creativity come to life as they explored different textures, colours, and shapes from nature.
Experiences like these not only spark imagination but also help children build a deeper connection with the world around them πŸ’š

Our kindergarten children had so much fun today getting a little messy and creative! 🎨✨
The children made their very own paint by crushing Lilly seeds using a mortar and pestle. They worked so carefully, using their little hands to grind the seeds down until they were ready to use. There was so much focus, teamwork, and excitement!
Once their paint was ready, they couldn’t wait to start creating their beautiful artworks. It was such a lovely way to explore nature, build those fine motor skills, and let their creativity shine.πŸ’›
