🍩 National Doughnut Day 🍩

Our doves class celebrated today by creating their own doughnuts with pool noodles, shaving foam and confetti rice sprinkles.

They also got to have a special doughnut for afternoon tea with their Krispy Kreme hats on 🍩

🦎🐍🦉 WildCall Wildlife Show Visit! 🐨🦇🐊

Today the children enjoyed an exciting visit from WildCall Wildlife Show! Through an interactive and engaging presentation, the children learned all about Australian wildlife, including how different animals eat, sleep, move, and survive in their natural habitats.

The children had the incredible opportunity to meet and experience a variety of amazing animals, including a bat, a friendly possum named Pom Pom, a snake called Tinkerbell, a blue-tongue lizard named Bluey, and a lovely little crocodile. They were fascinated to learn what the animals feel like, how they use their senses, and the unique features that help them thrive in the wild.

There were plenty of opportunities for questions, discussion, and hands-on experiences, making it a memorable learning adventure for everyone involved. It was wonderful to see the children's confidence, curiosity, and excitement as they connected with these incredible creatures.

What a fantastic experience that inspired respect, appreciation, and a love for our unique Australian wildlife! 🌿✨

🦷✨ Today we welcomed Dental 2 U to the centre for children's dental check-ups!

Our little ones were incredibly brave, showing off their beautiful smiles and curiosity throughout their appointments. The dental team helped the children feel comfortable and confident while learning about healthy teeth and oral hygiene.

Our Kindergarten children also enjoyed a special tooth show and educational talk with the dentist and the Tooth Fairy! 🧚‍♀️🦷 They learned all about caring for their teeth, making healthy food choices, and why regular dental check-ups are important.
There were lots of giggles, plenty of big smiles, and a few children who thought the dental tools might make a tasty snack! 😆

A big thank you to the Dental 2 U team for providing such a fun, engaging, and positive experience for all our children. 💙🪥✨

Oh what a month 🦋🩵🍋

In the Sparkles Room, Miss Jess has been intentionally using art experiences as a meaningful way for children to express their thoughts, feelings, and creativity through painting. Through intentional teaching practices, Miss Jess encourages the children to explore different colours, textures, and painting techniques while supporting conversations about their ideas and emotions.

These experiences allow the children to build confidence, develop fine motor skills, and express themselves in a safe and creative environment. By engaging alongside the children, asking open-ended questions, and extending on their interests, Miss Jess helps foster imagination, communication, and a sense of belonging within the learning environment.

Painting experiences in the Sparkles Room have become a wonderful opportunity for the children to freely create, problem solve, and share their unique ideas with others, supporting outcomes from the Early Years Learning Framework through creativity, identity, and wellbeing.

🍊Our Houdinis class joined with Miss Mei to make our own freshly squeezed orange juice, using the hand juicer. Each child was able to taste the fruit of their labours afterwards, making for some funny faces and thirst quenching sighs. This activity allows children to connect with the world around them, build hand muscles, engage in turn taking and practice following directions.🍊
