To the Foxwell girls – what a team!

Happy Educators' Day to all our amazing ladies who make Foxwell more than just a childcare centre – you make it a home.

Thank you for creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe to be themselves, explore the world around them, build meaningful friendships, and grow with confidence. Your dedication, patience, creativity, and genuine care make a difference in the lives of our children and families every single day.

We are so grateful for everything you do and proud to work alongside such an incredible team.

The Kindergarten and Kindy Stars children were excited to welcome the team from Rackley Swimming Pimpama to Foxwell Magic.

The children learned about water safety, swimming, and how to make safe choices around water. They participated in discussions and shared their own experiences about visiting pools, beaches, and other waterways.

This experience supported **EYLF Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing** as children learned ways to keep themselves safe. It also linked to **EYLF Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners** through active participation and discussion.

Within the **QKLG**, this experience supported children's learning in **Identity** and **Connectedness** as they developed an understanding of personal safety and making responsible choices within their community.

Thank you to the team from Rackley Swimming Pimpama for visiting and sharing these important water safety messages with our children.

Miss Jess created a beautiful sensory tray using red sand, Australian animals and Indigenous symbol cards representing different animal track marks. As some of our curious toddlers naturally began moving the sand out of the tray, they were gently redirected to a second sensory invitation featuring clapping sticks, Australian animals and Indigenous symbol cards. Here, Miss Jess supported the children in matching the animals to their track symbols while encouraging conversations about the different markings and what they might represent.

When the children were ready, they returned to the sand tray, where they demonstrated greater awareness of keeping the sand inside the tray while continuing their exploration. Alongside Miss Ash, the children carefully observed the tracks their animals created in the sand, comparing them to the symbol cards and developing their observation and early problem-solving skills.

As part of our School Readiness Program, our Kindergarten children recently participated in vision screening with Lesley from Eyecoast optometry.

These assessments help identify any potential vision concerns that may impact learning, development and participation in the classroom. The children did a fantastic job during the screening process, demonstrating confidence and independence throughout the experience.
